Hallifax appointed to Assistant Superintendent of Police in the year 1900 holding still appointment

senior to Wodehouse. Reverting to substantive appoint-

ment on return of Gompertz 11th May there is no question as to pay involved till Badeleys leave on

full salary expires other arrangements practically
